FAQs
Do I need a doctor’s referral to get an appointment?
Not unless your treatment concerns worker’s compensation, Veterans Affairs, Medicare or motor vehicle insurance. More information is listed in following FAQs.
How do I pay for my appointment?
You can pay by EFTPOS ( including credit cards) cheques and cash. Please pay at the end of your appointment. For Workcover claims, we invoice your insurance company – just provide us with the claim number.
How long will my appointment take?
Your first appointment takes around 45 minutes, but follow up appointments are 30 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first appointment – you’ll need time to complete the paperwork!
What if I am a Veterans Affairs patient?
Bring your referral form (called a D904) from your doctor to your appointment. Your referral is valid for 12 months.
What if I am a Workcover patient?
Bring your referral form from your doctor to your appointment. We’ll also need information about your injury (especially the date), your employer, and the insurance company (especially the claim number).
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We know that sometimes you just can’t make it! If you give us 24hrs notice, we can give your appointment to someone else. With 24 hours notice, we don’t charge for missed appointments – but if you don’t let us know (well, the repeat offenders anyway), we do charge a cancellation fee.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring anything you think may be relevant – referrals, x-rays, doctors’ reports etc. If you are in a private health fund, please bring your card. If your treatment concerns Workcover, Veterans Affairs, Medicare or motor vehicle insurance, you must bring the relevant paperwork including a referral from your doctor. More information about paperwork is listed in following FAQs.
Will Medicare cover my treatment?
Most patients are not covered by Medicare. However, if your doctor has assessed you for an Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) requiring our services, you are eligible for a rebate from Medicare. Contact us or your doctor to discuss.
Will my Private Health Care cover my treatment?
Our treatments can be claimed through some private health funds. Contact your fund to find out what you’re covered for. We can swipe your private health care card when you pay and any rebates will automatically be deducted from your payment.
What if I am a Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Medicare patient?
Bring your referral from your doctor to your appointment including your Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC).
